The law has been synonymous with the McNaught family name since 1946, when the late, Hon. John J. McNaught stepped foot into Boston College Law School.

Judge McNaught first practiced as a civil litigator at Esdaile, McNaught & Barrett from 1954-1972. He then began his career as a judge that would last until 1992. His three sons all followed in his footsteps by attending Suffolk University Law School.

McNaught Law Offices was started in 1982 by John J. McNaught, Jr., the eldest of Judge McNaught’s sons. John Jr.’s brothers, Stephen R. McNaught and Gerard W. McNaught later became partners in the firm. Stephen’s daughter, Jeannine R. Reardon (formerly McNaught) is also an attorney. Gerard’s daughter, Laurie A. Briggs (formerly McNaught) and son, Jeffrey C. McNaught are also attorneys.

Today, John continues to practice in Melrose, Ma. The McNaught Law Offices continues to thrive with experience and energy.
