John has been a trial attorney for over 35 years. He is a former City Solicitor for the City of Melrose, Ma, a position in which he served from 1982-1990. He has litigated matters in the Federal Court, and First Circuit Court of Appeals. John is also a Certified Mediator in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His practice mainly focuses on civil litigation, especially trials and all forms of alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration). He handles Insurance Defense cases (including fraud claims).

John is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, on the Board of Directors of the Middlesex County Bar Association, and a past president and present member of the Board of Directors of the First District Eastern Middlesex Bar Association (Malden District Court). He is also an active member and past president of the Melrose Rotary Club.
